Slope Description:
The Gleniffer Braes slope is a decent size. It needs a N wind or just either side of north to work the best. There are some trees down the bottom of the slope which cause some turbulence but fly out a bit for smooth lift. The Wind comes down over the mountains from Ben Lomond, etc when it's a northerly so it can be very cold in winter.

It's best to find a flat bit just off the path for gear and pilot stance. Landing zone is behind you. There can be a bit of turbulence but rotor should not be bad as there is usually still lift in this area.

Be aware that the wind in the Robertson car park won't be the same as it is on the slope.

It goes without saying; avoid the pylons & wires, they will always win a fight with a model!

Slope Information:
This is a popular hill with dog walkers and folk out a walk with kids. Be prepared for them to sneak up on you and proceed to ask lots of questions. I think 'how fast does it go?' is the most common.

To access the slope;
Park in the Robertson car park indicated on the map(red star). This is on Gleniffer Road (B775). From the Robertson car park cross over the road and head towards the pylons at the top of the hill.

There are lots of paths, my preferred route is to go left and high until I get to the first set of pylon wires and then follow the wires to the right, downhill. You follow the wires until you get to the path that crosses the slope, if you go beyond the next pylon you have gone too far.

Turn left and Walk across the slope with the pylon behind you and the high ground to your left. Go about 30/40m so you are in the middle of the slope with the trees to the left and pylon lines to the right when you look downhill.(purple arrow)
